On Tuesday, July 22, Residences at Creekside was filled with excitement as we hosted a special send-off celebration for one of our residents. Peggy is preparing to travel to Pennsylvania to reunite with her sister after 30 years apart. This event welcomed representatives from Wish of a Lifetime, the organization that helped make Peggy’s dream come true.
At Metro West Housing Solutions (MWHS), our Resident Services team plays a vital role in helping seniors stay connected and supported. Through their work, we’ve partnered with Wish of a Lifetime to help 23 Creekside residents fulfill lifelong dreams.
The celebration brought together neighbors, staff, and Wish of a Lifetime representatives, who shared more about their mission to inspire hope and joy for older adults. They also encouraged residents to explore the opportunity to apply for a wish of their own.
Kirsten Cuthill, our Resident Services Coordinator at Creekside, guided Peggy through the application process and is currently working with two additional residents who are pursuing their own dreams.
Peggy shared that she was excited and overwhelmed with her upcoming trip.
“I tell everyone (at Creekside) to apply. You never know! You could get chosen!” Peggy told us.
Shirley, who also attended the event, had previously traveled to England to visit her family thanks to Wish of a Lifetime.
“I never would have made it to England by myself. Everyone here was with me every step of the way,” she shared.
We also spoke with Judith and Nais, who looked on with excitement as Peggy celebrated, knowing their own wish is underway—to host a family reunion in their hometown of New Orleans.
“All of our family lives there,” Judith told me, “We are so excited, there is nothing like home.”
This celebration reflects the community spirit that makes Residences at Creekside such a special place to live. It is also a testament to the hard work and care that our team brings to this senior community every day.
