On December 7, Governor Polis announced his Roadmap to Colorado’s Future at our Lamar Station Crossing community — a roadmap designed to prioritize housing, transportation and sustainability.
Lamar Station Crossing resident Darrel Bell spoke about the importance of living on a mass transit line. As CEO Tami Fischer said, “Lamar Station Crossing, the first affordable Transit Oriented Development residential project on the W Commuter Rail Line, opened in 2014 and is credited with helping to catalyze the start of the West Colfax renaissance. Its construction and opening led directly to several new developments moving forward,” “We are grateful to Governor Polis for his commitment to funding and building more affordable housing, to the importance of TODs and to ensuring these projects are sustainable long into the future.”
